THETRUCK
2019 Ford F-150 Raptor
I went to my dealership with the intention of buying a Shelby GT350 and my dealer just happened to show me the new raptor—I was sold. I traded in the F250 I owned and passed on the Mustang. The Raptor fulfilled both needs of a truck and performance vehicle all in one.

THEBUILD
I started with the front-end suspension and engine performance before moving to the rear suspension. On each trip out to the desert, I realized a new need, such as rear suspension improvements, lighting, recovery gear etc. I’ve spent a lot of time researching products and learning from others.
So far I’ve added:
- RPG Tie Rods
- RPG Bump Stops w/fox shocks
- Geiser Offroad Springs
- Deavers +4
- Method 309 17”
- Nitto Trailgrapplers 37”
- ADD Pro Bolt On bumper w/Rigid D series pods
- KC Hilites Gravity Pro 6 LED
- KC Hilites Flex Duals
- Borla ATAk exhaust
- SPD Downpipes and adapters
- Mishimoto intercooler
- AFE Stage 2 Cold Air Intake
- Turbosmart BOV
- Builtright Industries Bedside Racks
- SDHQ A pillar brackets
- IDrive
My ultimate goal was to build a truck that performed well while having a great custom look. Along the way I’ve made some mistakes and I’m still learning from it. But so far, I am very happy with the build. Next up, I plan to continue with the suspension, maybe RPG UCAs and Fox Full Raceshocks. Also, looking to add a tire carrier for the bed as well.
My Raptor is becoming a new hobby for me, almost replacing my passion for my Harley. It’s been great introducing my daughters to the sport as well as teaching them something new.
